In the gratings why is the Rainham Steel only in as a Standard Grating and not as a Variable?
A Variable would be very helpfull as i use this mesh all the time.
Thanks Rob

Rainham Steel grating is not configured to be a variable graiting, therefore it is not avaliable when you use the variable graiting command. You can add it to the AstorGrating.mdb database. More information about how to add new grating standards to the database can be found at the following FAQ :

Thanks for the reply but my question was more asking why bother to put it in the standard gratings and not in the variable? thats just half a job. and whats the point of the standard gratings anyway, who wants floor mesh 6m long by 1m wide? who are you going to get to fit it for you the hulk?

It was a great idea to introduce grating in to Advanced Steel. But apparently it’s just a plate with the hatch on top.

It’s completely useless, drawn like a plate, dstv’s like a plate. So what is the point, just to look nice in the model? Please take a note for future development Graitec team. Thank you.
