How are the different methods of copying or moving by translation used?

1. Translation defined by an increment vector
Suppose we want to copy a group of elements of the "Portal frame 1" system, highlighted in orange (selected in the right side in the figure below).
The first translation mode, "translation defined by an increment vector", is used. The elements highlighted in blue are the result of this copy:

2. Translation defined by a total vector
Next we want to distribute the 5 purlins (copy them equidistantly on the length of the rafters). The first purlin was created on the ridge (highlighted in orange).
The elements highlighted in burgundy are the result of the copy.

3. Translation defined by a vector + 1 distance
Next we are going to distribute the purlins along the rafters by a distance of 2 meters between each copy. The third translation mode, translation defined by a vector + one distance, is used. The elements highlighted in burgundy are the result of this copy:
