1. I have no idea how to stretch it. I have attached a few screenshots to show you how my input area looks like.

2. I don't mind being logged off.
What I do mind is the fact that once I have entered the message, and the forum logged me out in a mean time, and I get the misleading mesasge saying:

Why don't I get the message like "you are too slow for us and have been logged out. Log in, then press the back button twice, and press the "Submit" button again. And the next time - type faster." - or something like that.

I have learned the harder way how to do it (first few times I didn't "Return to previous topic", just closed the tab as soon as I got the "Message posted" info. And only tommorow, when I wanted to see if there is some new answer to my post, I found out that my message was not posted at all, despite the "Message posted" info...

Why does anybody else have to learn it the harder way too, when (s)he could get the hint and be spared of typing the message again?

thanks for the reply.

Just to mention, if someone plan to work on this issue:

- the level attached to the part is not really attached to the part - it remains at the same level if the model gets updated and the part changes the elevation. Would be nice if it could "remember" the part it was connected to, so the level could change with the part elevation if it is changed...

Hi,

if you (or someone else) is still looking for a solution, there is a workarround:

- use a drawing style for some small single part (for example);

- delete the view from the drawing and save it. Now the drawing is empty, but it gets de-registered from the model

- register the drawing again in the model

- It is displayed in the document manager, the only drawback is that it is under "Project documents - Details - Unknown".

I don't know if it is good enough for you, but I need to reserve the few pages that shouldn't have any drawings and this does the trick.

Before I saw your post and tried the described method, I would just move the generated view outside the plot area - it was there, but will not show on the generated PDF...

Haven't found the solution yet...

The AS generates the view with labels arrangement, and then I have to add the levels for traverse, and then to move the labels...

Anyone any idea how to speed up the process?

Hi again, I now remember why I swithced from angle method to area.

I attached a few picures with resoult arrangement. 2 are bearable, although the area method is clearly better - for tested examples, at least...

More over - the "do not overlap total geometry" is working in Area method also, it is just doing the different job: The labels are laced in such way not to overlap the drawing lines, but if the algoritm finds the "free place " - never mind it is the flat surfice of the beam or plate - it places the label there... See the attached pictures...

the strange thing is that in my English international AS 2014 the area method is marked as new, and the angle is marked as old method. (see the scrshot attached).

Never the less, I'll try the old one as well, and see what happens.

Hi,

I would like to place labels outside all the presented parts. However - some labels are placed inside the other parts on the same view... See the picture attached.

I thought that selected option in DSM would solve that issue, but it appears it's not...

Is there some other setting I can apply to have the desired presentation?

Hi,

this bothers me also.

I tried to select few labels (for diff model objects in "Object presentation", it allows me to select them, they are all marked, but when I change the label - just the one I selected is changed, not all the selected.

In Model broeser when you want to change some properties for multiple parts, when I select multiple parts and chenge the properties at one of selected, all of them receives the new values...

Hi,

I couldn't find the better place to post this issues, so here they are:

1. The input area for the message is ridiculusly narrow! 4 rows - I really don't get the point... THe strange thing is that ONCE there was a "stretchable" righ lower corner (after my first adressing to this problem) - but I can't manage to see it again...

2. The forum automaticaly log me out after some time. And the short one, I didn't measure, but it looks like 5 min or so. I understad that, security reasons and other Top Secret stuff, but there is another problem closely related to this one:

When I write the message, and in the meantime the forum loged me out - it leads me to the login page, and then it appears that the message was posted. It give me the info:

- Message posted

If I understood right, you forwarded this issue to the developers, and what else can we do but sit and wait. Let's hope that the taskmasters won't have any complains about the tables :)
