Our engineer had noticed an error in how Advanced Steel
was calculating bolt values in connections. The program was
calculating the connections as thought they were in
eccentricity rather than using the chart values in the AISC
Manual. We had notified Graitec about 6 months prior to
Autodesk purchasing Advanced Steel. I was told that
Autodesk would be fixing the error. Does anyone know if the
error has been fixed?
I keep getting this error message when I try to batch plot in
Advanced Steel 2016:
"System exception without special treatment has occurred"
I cannot batch plot at all in 2016 but was able too in 2015.1.
I have created numerous User Defined Treads and want to
delete some that will not be used. Where can I find the User
Defined Treads so I can delete them?
How do I turn off the object transparency in the new 2016
version? I have adjusted the transparency settings in the
layer properties, object properties, transparencydisplay
system variable, transparency in the visual styles and
I wouldn't mind the transparency once in a while but I still
have to rotate the model to select objects or pick ponits on
the back side. Its just making the drawing to busy looking
The NC file that is created, is working from the right end of the beam while the Running Dimensions are from the left end.
How do I correct this so they are both from the left end?
Here's my problem:
Every time I create a detail view and then try to add labels to that view, I have to go into the label content manager first and select which tokens/labels I need. This is a tedious and slow process.
I want to be able to set the token/labels (globally) that I need to use for the selected drawing style only once such that when I choose to add a label, the information is already there.
Example: Bolt Standard - I have to use the content label manager each time to have the bolt standard show up in the label.
Can you export a file from Navisworks into Advanced Steel 2015?
I need to reduce the size of the tail on weld symbols. The tail is approx. at a 45 degree slope from the vertical; I need it to be around 15 to 20 degress. I want to reduce the text size in the tail and the space between the tail and the text. Does anyone know how to do this?
I have been searching for information on using 'Nodes'. What is their purpose? Where can I find comprehensive instructions on how to use them?
CAN YOU SHOW THE VIEW SCALE UNDER THE VIEW TITLE?
