Could someone explain how to use the "Lot/Phase"?
Does this work as well with the assembly group numbering process? I must detail assembly parts first. -
Unable to add labels to stair treads/bent plate
Thanks Val I always wondered how to do this! Big help!!!!! -
Label number crowding
Hello Val, It works fine now. No more crowding. -
How to configure the single part mark format
My question is about single part marks. It seems that my single part marks are including the assembly part number. For example, I have a guardrail assembly labled 4HR1, Thats great. here is the problem: all the single part marks for assembly 4HR1 have "4hr1" included in it. Like this "bb-4HR1 bc-4HR1" etc. Is there a way to shorten them down to "bb-4 bc-4"?
I need to shorten them because they are to big on the drawing when I use labels.
I use "Assembly group" for my numbering purposes.
Thanks :-)

Dimension style on prototype
Im trying to add the dimension style to a prototype file called DSC_RADIAL. But in the prototype dimension styles it is not listed. Is there a way to add it? I dont want to have to set it up everytime I need it on a drawing. Thank you
It seems The DSC_RADIAL shows up on all my prototypes except for the one I need it most on ANSI B ASSEMBLY.

Single part drawing at UCS
Is there a process I can use to draw a single part plate according to the UCS? To be able to line it up to the ucs.
As of right now the plate is skewed in the model. I dont want it skewed on the detail sheet. I would like to show it in a better position for fabrication purpose.

AS crashes while dimensioning
I figured out why I was crashing while putting angular dimensions. I want to share why for others who have the problem.
Autocad had a problem where it would crash when trying to dimension angles on different planes. Luckily they fixed it in their service pack. It's available on their website. Autocad 2010.

Unwinding elongation
In the management tools, under unwind elongation I can choose by DIN. What I need to know is if and where I can change the DIN settings. Where is that spreadsheet located. I have tried using BY TABLE, unfortunately it seems a bit overly complicated.
**All I need to do is enter a k factor of 4 for treads using 1/8" steel. Or perhaps someone knows of a different way to enter this.
please help my head is on the verge of exploding :-)
thanks

How is the length of a developed section calculated in BOM lists?
What does DIN mean? -
Bend elongation
How does one change the bend elongation or stretch factor when flattening plates on shop drawings.
My treads are coming up to long and I need to reduce them. I found some things in management tools that sound like the right place but I dont know what some of the words mean.
Expansion method for unfolding. what does "By DIN" refer to? Is there a way to change the factor? Or "By Table" When I go to the table There are numbers that dont make sense. Is there a way to change them to inches/fractions. The table I refer to is located in astorbase unwind elongation.
