In this case, it is very important to know which kind of license you own: a network license or a standalone one.A standalone license can be saved when the computer has ONLY been formatted (this means that no other component has been changed). The same is not applying for the network license – it will be lost.In the case of a standalone license with only a hard format performed, you only should activate the license again based on the serial number and the activation code, using the license management tool.

Basically the problem is that when selecting local axis presentation it looks like some properties are still in global axis presented.”First of all, please tell me on what version of Advance Design is the customer working, as some of these situations you have described have been improved / fixed. Also, please send the model on which these problems have been found.Regarding the points which treat issues for supports, there are two ways of defining them: the stiffeners can be defined in relation to the global system or by the linear support local axes.The definition by the local axis is relevant only for the elastic point supports or elastic linear supports. For the rigid supports, this definition has been removed, as it was considered redundant for a fixed support in all directions (infinite rigidity in all directions). Of course, on an inclined column, it is not the same to consider a fixed support Tx in the local axis of the column and a component TX in the global axe, but for these cases there is a simple workaround: the user can create an elastic support and define big stiffness values in the local axes of an element; these settings should make the elastic support behave as a rigid one.As a consequence to this implementation, all results and values calculated for rigid supports are displayed in relation to the global system.As for the elastic supports:1. The elastic point support: the definition of this type of support can be made according to global axes or according to the local axes of a reference element. In the post-processing stage, the user can display results according to the global axes or according to the local axes of the reference element. 2. The elastic linear support: the definition of this type of support can be made according to global axes or according to the local axes of a reference element. In the post-processing stage, the user can display results according to the global axes or according to the local axes of the elastic linear support.

Open the Registry Editor to the following path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Graitec\Advance Design 10.1.

 

From this path, open “CheckLiveUpdate” key and change it to 0.

For now, there is no way to create your own toolbar. The only one that can be customized is Quick Access Toolbar.

 

To add or remove commands from this toolbar, right click on Ribbon and open “Customize Quick Access Toolbar…” dialog box. Here, you have the possibility to place in the Quick Access Toolbar the most frequently used commands (from any ribbon tab).

It seems that the MEASURE command places points only from left to right, no matter where the first point was set. This is issue is being investigated and it will be fixed in a future version of Advance CAD.

Insert Table " From a data link " has not been implemented yet, but it is present on our list of feature requests.

"Mid between 2 points" snap option has been available in Advance CAD since 2014 version.
