• Suggestion for Railing Macro

I have a suggestion for the Railing macro for the pickets to be able to pass through (and create holes) one or both sides of  the top and bottom rails. This would also be good on galvanized railing when the picket members are pipes or tubes and the hole would act as drain/vent holes. See attached sketch

  • pipe end chamfer

I'd like to know the answer to that too.
  • bolt list in drawings

In previous versions, there was a bolt list that could be put on the drawings, I didn't find one in the AS v.2011, so I created one in the BOM editor. How can I get it to group the bolts together and not list by detail. example:  "(540) 3/4" A325 bolts" ,  not   "(20) 3/4" A325, (40) 3/4" A325, (100) 3/4" A325...."

    Thanks

  • Additional dim line to drawing style

I added an additional dimension line to the "View Dimensions" in a Drawing style in the DS manager. The extension lines show in the drawing but not the actual dimension or the dimension line, What do I need to do to get this to show up? See missing dimension line in the attached file:

    Thanks

  • new welds

I created some new welds following the instructions in the FAQ  shown here http://www.graitec.com/en/FAQ_view.asp?FAQID=517&Language=EN&Name=How+is+a+new+weld+symbol+created+in+Advance%3F but I can't get the MASS value to show up in the drawings. The new dwg is a modified existing dwg where everything worked fine before. What am I missing?

    Thanks

  • Project Settings

I want to change the "date of Order" under the "project info 2" heading  for the drawings in my model, but changing the date then "updating page header" is not changing the original date that is already there. I tried changing it manually in the drawing but it switches back to the original date if the header gets updated. How do I change it permanently?

    Thanks

  • Punch marks

Usually after putting on punch marks on a beam to indicate where a future field plate (not modeled) will be put, they will show up when the display is set to "features". Sometimes they disappear completely no matter what the display is set to and all advance items are turned on. This can happen when copying or moving a beam and it's features/parts. I have gone to zoom-extents to see if they have gotten thrown off the model but have not been able to find them. Sometimes after putting on a new punchmark I will find later that there are 2 there, but this is not always the case. Punchmarks associated with bolts/studs and plates are not affected as far as I have been able to tell. Where do all my manually placed punch marks keep going?

    Thanks

  • Standard part templates

After creating a standard part template, can a shop drawing be made with that part on it that can also be used with other projects? In other words can a drawing not generated by the current model be registered if the standard part has been copied into the current model?

    Thanks

  • Lengths in BOM

Can the feet and inches be separated in the BOM, for example, feet in one column and inches in another.

    Thanks

  • Bolts not being counted in lists

No matter what list generate, it shows the incorrect amount of bolts. It is showing 180 less than the manual count I did as well as a search filter. They are all Anchors on the same baseplates. The posts and baseplates are counted correctly as is everything else in the model as far as I can see. I recently had a error and had to run a recover to get the model back, and I also did a audit (including the AS items). Could one of those things caused this problem? Before the error, the lists seemed to be right. Is there a way to fix this? It also is a fairly large model.
