  • How to get material WIDTH always in inches (over 12") in the BOM

    Hello Bart

To have the width in inches you have to modify the name of the plate in the default(Management tool) to have:

PL %Thicknessx%[20,5006,64]Width . %[20,5006,64] in front of the Lenght  is changing the format of your lenght.

    Best regards

  • Dual Dimensions

    Hello Bill
The dimension in AS are created by a dimensions style which is on your prototypes( the default dimension style is DSC_DIM_STYLE1) you have to the modification in the active dimension style, DSC_DIM_STYLE1 is not all the time the active dim style, some users are changing ( in the MT you can change active Dimension style).
In the "Alternate Units" in the "Placement" you have to choose "Below primary value". This should change the position of the alternate units.

  • Exporting CAM data

    Hello Bill
By CAM data do you mean NC files, or DXF files?
To create NC files you have to use the NC command which is shown in the attached print screen. The same thing for the DXF file only that will be the second icon.
The Ayrshire-CAM is a specific NC file for Ayrshire profiles. I think it was a little bit of confusion with the previous answer.

  • How to erase the Main View of a Drawing?

    Hello Miguel

The main view of a DS is the first view. To move the views up or down in the arrangement use the icons “arrow up” and “arrow down” from the right side of the dialog.

  • Creating BOM lists on Shop Drawings for the entire model.

    Hello Bill

The BOM in a shop drawing will show only the pieces (MP or SP) which are really in the drawing. When the drawing is created it will have directly the dimension from the model. For example let's take the column table from the attached pdf. In the model you have to model all the pieces marks from E1C to W12C, when the drawings will be generated E1C it will get a drawing with the dimension 25'-8" not A or 13'-5" not B. Same thing for all the other pieces, they will get a separate drawing.
You can’t put in the BOM elements which are not in the model; once you model them because they are different you can’t have the same drawing for.
We hope that this will answer your question. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

  • Site Bolts on Drawings

    Hello Bill

No problem. If you have a shop drawing the BOM will show only elements from that drawing.

What do you really need is an external list, which will give you the required information
