  • HYPERSTEELPAGEFRAME and Plot Area with One Punch

    Hello Nenad,

Coming back to your initial question, it is not possible to link plot area (defind in the plot dialog) to the page frame.

If you have a lots of parts/assemblies that need to be drawn on various paper sizes, there is a way to define the drawing style that checks for the best scale on the best paper size.

In the drawing process manager, for selected process in the main definiton tab, you can define for the process the initial paper size with the prototype. There is also the additional steps tab, where you can define next rules, which are used if the view does not fit to the drawing. Of course, you can define scales that will be used by the process (there can be also only one scale).

I attach such example of drawing process so you can check how it is defined. I use CZ version.

    Regards,

    Marian

  • HYPERSTEELPAGEFRAME and Plot Area with One Punch

    Hello Nenad,

I am quite niot sure if I understood your question well. The HYPERSTEELPAGEFRAME block defines the area, inside which are views placed during drawing generation by processes. If the are inside this block is full, another drawing is automatically created. The plot are for printing can be linked to the layout size.

Maybe also this FAQ can be helpful:  http://www.graitec.com/en/FAQ_view.asp?FAQID=952&Language=EN&Name=How+is+a+user+defined+area+locked+for+detail+arrangement+configured%3F

  • Ribbon

    Hello David,

In standalone version of AC the ribbon style is differene to the version running on AutoCAD. This standalone version also does not support toolbars.

  • dimensions scale

    Hi David,

In the bottom part of pilot you have possibilityto change the scale (list of scales) - the scale you set is used for labels, dimensionsm etc. If you want to change the scale of existing object, you set the new scale and click on th small icon on the left side from the scale, then select the object to re-scale in the drawing.

    Regards,

    Marian

  • Reinforcement cut

    Hello David,

You camn modify properties of manual reinforcement section in diaog of properties of the drawing - select "properties" from context menu of the section drawing in the pilot. Ther, in the second tab "display parameters" you can see a scheme ofall your views on the drawing, just click on the one you need to modify and make your changes. Remark: If you want to delete the section, you ned to use the dedicated function "delete reinforcement section" (grtcrebardeleteview), not just simple delete key.

If you hide the distribution on the drawing, you can display it again by selecting the definition bar and from its context menu select option "display hidden reinforcement".

    Regards,

    Marian

  • stp file

    Hello,

There is no direct import of STD file into Advance Design. You can use Advance Steel to import STD file and Graitec BIM data exchange (GTC file) to import your model into Advance Design.

Check also more suitable data exchange possibilities in the aplication form which you export your model.

  • Is there a way to add powder lines to a plate

In AS 2012 there is no option to do this.

  • Failed to update the license

    Dear Mr. Boskovic,

I checked your licenses again and I found that the older AC 2011 license with the same serial number was not returned. Please, return the 2011 license before activating the 2012.

Explanation: According to th subscription, you received the new activation for the new version. This activation is generated for th same serial number, just with the different activation code. If the old license wasn´t returned, the new one can´t be returned.

    Best regards,

    Marian Bandzak

  • Is there any possibility to add more than 6 additional steps in a drawing process?

    Hello

You can configure a 7th step from the database if needed: In the Management Tools / Table editor open the database "AstorAddIn.mdb" and open the table "DetailProcessDefinition". Here you have a column where you control the amount of steps considered : "Number of steps", and then 7 step columns where you can configure the necessary steps.
At the interface you'll see only 6 steps, due to the current Drawing Process Manager behaviour.

    Best regards,

    Marian Bandzak
