We are having issues with the prefix settings on the
main mark number since updating to 2017. The
attached screen shot shows the main part mark in
2017 with AA and in 2016 it shows with A. We have
compared setting between the 2 different versions
and they seem to be the same.

Hello Scott, The additional "A" is the counter associated with the assembly. When using the numbering method "With Drawing Number" the number assigned to the assembly is incomplete until detailed on a page ex. (B#internal1). Once detailed, not only does the page number get associated, it will associate a counter. In keeping with the first example of B#internal1, if detailed on page 1, it would then become AB1. To avoid confusion with your prefix, your counter could also be a numeric value which would then make it 1B1, you'll find this setting in your numbering tool for both single and main parts. Best Regards
