Shop drawing change after doing an UPDATE DETAIL

Ver 10 & 11
When i work on a shop drawing and scrub it to my liking,
then i do a UPDATE DETAIL much of my scrubbing is
altered to something very different. This happens on many
sheets.

I need to address ASAP as i can have hundreds of shop
drawings that unknowingly change after i do an update.

If you are refering to the dimensions I think its something to do with them being linked to the system line so if you drag the nodes or add new dims then do an update it pulls them back to the system line with is a right xxxx!
