With Advance steel 2016, is there a way to break a project
into different phases? And if there is, what are the steps?

Michael, yes you can. In the Advance Properties of any member in advance steel, under the "naming" tab, you can apply a value in the "Lot/Phase" cell. Also, you can check off the box to the left hand side to control whether or not you would like the same mark to appear for an assembly in two different phases. If the box is checked and you then apply piece marks to your model, typical assemblies that are in phase 1 and phase 2 will not have the same part mark. Best regards
