I'm using Advance Steel 2016 and detailing a stair assembly using the drawing style "Stair Assembly at USC". The grating treads do not appear in the resulting detailed shop drawing. They are accounted for and shown in the bill of material just not shown in the picture. How do I get the grating treads to appear in the shop drawing?

Hello Thomas,Unfortunately with the described situation we do not have enough information to guide you trough the proper drawing style or process to use. Could you please tell us, how your assembly behave? We would like to know if the stringer are shipped loose and the tread as well? or everything is bolted or welded in shop? I invite you, to submit us us the model or a picture.Thank you,Regards.

The stair(s) is done as a frame, stringers and treads all shop bolted and/or welded together. How and where do I submit model to?

Thomas,When you write post,, on the forum, at the bottom left corner you can attach a file. If you prefer, I can see you are located in USA, so you can pass trough your local service provider for support using support.americas@graitec.com

Hi Thomas,To get your grating treads to appear on the shop drawings you need to add that element to the drawing style you are using. Follow the procedure below and let me know how it works out.1. Open your Drawing style Manager from the Output tab.2. Select the Drawing styles button 3. Select the 6-Stairs and Railings >Stair Assembly at UCS4. Select the Objects presentation. A window is displayed where you can add the new object presentation.Select the Add a new object presentation icon to the left of the red x.A new row will be added to the bottom of the window. 5. Select the expansion arrow to the left and add the Grating. To view the gratings select the values below.• Model Object is Grating• Geometric restraints is All• Depth position is Any• Presentation is visible hidden or Visible HatchVisible if you want to see the hatch• Labeling : Off or any other6. Select Apply.7. Go back to the model and from the Home tab select Update defaults.I have also created a step by step for your future reference.I hope this helps,Best regards.Janet
