In Advance Steel, when searching the model for a particular assembly, one can use the Model Browser as a navigator.

In the Model Browser dialog, add the Model Role property column and sort the elements by this criterion.
To display the assemblies having the selected model role (for example, “Column”), use the Show only the selected assemblies command from the Advance Tool Palette:

Show only the selected assemblies with the “Columns” model role

Similarly, to hide the selected assemblies (for example, “Column”), use the Selected assemblies off command from the Advance Tool Palette:

Hide the selected assemblies with the “Columns” model role
