One of the advantages of an Autodesk Advance Concrete Split project is the possibility to include more than one engineer in a single project, reducing the detailing time. The external drawings created from a master model can be opened by several users on different units. This way, the first user can work on "Beam reinforcement" and the second one on "Column reinforcement".
Autodesk Advance Concrete 2013 has a new approach of the detailing projects. A Split project relies on creating each view as an external drawing improving the performance and speed. Anytime during the modelling, the Split option can be activated as long as no view is created.
The modelling part is intuitive and helps the user create regular structural elements as well as complex ones, like precast.
After saving the model, all the reinforcement, formwork plans, isometrics and elevations will be created as separate DWG files. A file with the same name as the master model will be created in the same location.
Each new file is placed and saved in the corresponding folder.
A new view means an external DWG different from the model, but with all its settings.s
All the project settings (bar catalogues, mesh catalogues, rounding rules...) will be modified only from the modelling part (the main model/Master) Any change (bar catalogues, mesh catalogues, rounding rules...) will be sent to each drawing through the "Refresh option".
Note! The "Extracts" folder includes all the project settings. For more details and for the settings synchronisation, read the document "What is the role of the Refresh option from Pilot?" from the FAQ section.
