For this example we will use a Reinforcement detail as shown in the following figure. Create a reinforcement definition bar using the "Create a linear distribution of the selected bar" command.
From the properties window, select the "Central line" visualization type for the linear distribution.
To modify the properties of the central distribution bar, open the distribution properties window. On the "Representation" tab, modify the central line parameters such as color, style or line type. To view the changes, use the "Show/Hide Lineweight" AutoCAD option.
The distribution bar has, by default, the same thickness as the definition bar. The definition bar has, by default, a line thickness dependent on the bar diameter. To change the line thickness of the bar, change the representation style of the bar, or create a new representation style using the "Representation style" command on the "Advance Project Preferences" toolbar.
After the representation style is modified, you can change the thickness of the definition bar and leave the distribution bar as it is. The distribution bar can be modified with the "Wireframe" command, accessed from the "Preferences" option. The "Preferences" option is found on the "Advance Project Settings" toolbar.
Using this method, the definition bar and the distribution bar can have the same line thickness.
In case that the definition bar must remain represented with a line thickness dependent on the bar diameter and the distribution bar must have a thicker line, the following steps must be performed:
Using this method you can obtain different line thicknesses for the definition and distribution bars.
How to change the line thickness for the bending detail:
A bar detail must be created using the "Create a bar or mesh bending detail" option.
Select the bar detail and enter the properties window. On the "Representation" tab, change the style, the height or color of the text and the color and line thickness of the line used for the representation of the bar detail.
To easily view the changes made on the "Representation" tab, the modified elements are displayed in green.
In case that the detail bar has dimensions, you can change the parameters of the dimensions (color, scale, etc).
