Starting with the version 2012, Advance Design provides a new 3D way to generate and display stresses diagrams for linear elements.
As an example, we will use a frame, with a linear load of 100kN over half of the beam. We will analyze the IPE300 beam.
From the "Analysis-F.E. Results toolbar you can choose to display the stresses for the linear elements. In the following picture, the stresses diagram of the beam, is presented:
From the right click menu, you can choose the "Cross section stresses" option. This option will open the "Linear elements stresses" window, described in the following figure:
