In many cases, reinforcement drawings included in a project contain an important number of reinforcement bars, distributed in several views.
During creation of these drawings, due to their complexity, the user needs assistance for ensuring that the reinforcement bars are correctly created and distributed.
The collisions between bars can be found by using the "Clash check" option, available in the "AC: Drawing" menu, on the ribbon "Others".
For example, an analysis of all bar collisions is required in the reinforcement drawing of a plain wall positioned between columns, automatically reinforced with dynamic reinforcement. After accessing the "Clash check" command, all elements are selected and the Enter tab is used. In the open window, the user has the option to set several parameters for a custom verification.
The user can choose a tolerance, the minimum value of the overlapping length of bars for which the program issues a collision notification. If the "0" value is kept, all collisions in the drawing will be considered.
Bars of smaller diameters can also be excluded from the analysis, by choosing a value from the highlighted field in the figure.
The last option in the window is for displaying the analysis report in the Smartbar. If the option is unchecked, the user will not be able to view the results when the command is finalized.
There is also the possibility to access the "Help" page for this command by using the Help button in the window.
After all these settings have been completed, the analysis can be started by clicking the "Start" button.
The analysis evolution is indicated through the green progress bar. After completion, the number of collisions found is automatically displayed and the "Close" button is used.
If the option to show clashes on the Smartbar was checked, the results of the analysis are displayed, as shown in the following figure:
If there are more than one clashes, each is displayed with the help of the arrow tabs in the smartbar:
For each clash there are 3 possible statuses: opened, solved, ignored. The user can choose one of these from the drop-down list.
The Smartbar menu also contains 2 tabs for showing the exact position of the collision:
In some situations, when identifying a bar clash, the user immediately modifies the reinforcement elements to correct the problem. Using the "UPD" tab on the Smartbar, the clash report can be updated by re-initializing the analysis.
After all clashes have been analyzed, the Smartbar menu can be closed by clicking the "Finish" tab. A message window appears, asking the user to confirm ending the clash check. If "No" is clicked, the Smartbar remains available for use.
