Starting with Advance Steel 2010 prototypes can store information about their drawing format, allowing a detailing process to fill the correct information about the format in the detail name, and also allowing the detail name to get updated when we change the prototype of an already created drawing. While the new prototypes have this option configured by default, if we need to use old prototypes we need to manually configure them as follows:

- Open the prototype with Advance Steel 2010/2011.
- Use the command: Define drawing layout on the AS Documents ribbon.

How is the drawing format automatically obtained in the detail file name when changing the prototype?

- Fill the Page size cell with the necessary information about the prototype format (e.g., A2 ).

- Save and close the prototype.
