For this example a structure like the one shown below will be used. Using the "Add reinforcement solutions" the user can add the Dynamic reinforcement solutions and enter the reinforcement parameters.
To export the structure to the detailing program "Advance Concrete", the user must use the "BIM Graitec" command. This command is accessed using the "File / Export" menu. At this point the user must enter the name of the saved GTC file. The Dynamic Reinforcement solution can be exported only from the "Analysis" mode.
After the structure is exported as a GTC file, the user must open Advance Concrete and select the "import GTC" command from the "BIM Graitec" toolbar. Next the user must select the GTC file exported from Advance Design.
After the GTC file is imported in Advance Concrete, the Dynamic Reinforcement solutions can be viewed and the reinforcement details can be created.
If the user wants to modify a Dynamic Reinforcement solution, the user must select the solution and open the properties window. In this window the user can modify all the reinforcement parameters.
New Dynamic Reinforcement solutions can be defined in Advance Concrete. The user must use the "Advance Reinforcement Solution" toolbar. After the Dynamic Reinforcement solution is created, the user must save it with the extension ".dyn".
For example a reinforcement solution for a walls intersection is created. To apply this solution the user must select both of the walls. The solution must be saved using the "Save Solution" command. The reinforcement solution is named "Wall Corner Detail".
The ".dyn" file is saved in "C:\Users\ GRAITEC \ AppData\Roaming\Graitec\AdvanceConcrete\2010\Support\Dynamic Reinforcement\Wall Corner Detail.dyn".
The saved solution can be applied in Advance Concrete. To use this ".dyn" file in Advance Design, the user must copy this file to "C:\ProgramData \Graitec\Advance Design 2010\Resources\".
After the "Wall Corner Detail .dyn" file is copied to the "Rebar Solution" folder, the solution can be applied to the structural elements in Advance Design. In the "Analysis" mode, the user can select two walls forming a corner and use the "Add reinforcement solutions" command. The solution is applied and the user must enter all the reinforcement parameters.
