For this example, we will create a reinforcement drawing for a slab using "Create a reinforcement drawing" on the "Advance Reinforcement" toolbar.
The window dimension will be 900 x 1200 mm and the height of the balustrade will be 900 mm. The lintel will be 1300 x 250 x 250 mm.
The beam from the top of the wall will be 250 x 500 mm. Over the beam we will place a 150 mm slab.
Along the wall, the A-A section will be created using the "Create a cut or section" command from the "Advance Model" toolbar.
From the section properties the user must select the viewing method for the visible cut structural elements. The section properties can be accessed by selecting the A-A line section and then opening the properties window from the "Smart bar".
For each of the structural elements (wall, beam, slab or lintel) the hatch type, the scale, the color or the line style can be chosen.
The section can be viewed from the Drawing mode (by double clicking on the A-A section) or from the Modeling mode.
If the user wants to view in the section the beam and the slab above the wall, it is not sufficient to modify the hatch type for each element. The user must change the element priority or modify the top end of the wall. The wall must end at the point that it is intersecting the beam.
If the wall height is changed, then the user must select the wall and, from the wall properties window, the user must insert the "D" parameter (defined relative to upper level). The "D" parameter must be equal to the beam height.
For this example the beam height is 500mm.
If the user wants to view the changes made the A-A section must be updated from the pilot.
If the user chose to change the priority, then, the beam priority must have a value greater than the wall priority. By default the beam priority in set to 30 and the wall priority is set to 40.
The user must select the wall and change the priority value from 40 to 25 from the properties window. Then, from Pilot, the user must "Update" the A-A section. This way the user can see the hatches chosen for the beam and the slab.
