Select the elements to define the solution.
Ask to define a new solution.
Choose views; like in a normal rebar view.
The red dots are sketch points. The program creates sketch points on the objects geometry.
Create a rectangular frame.
A bar is defined by other bars (such as the straight bars in the corners of a rectangular frame) or by sketch points. The rectangular frame top definition points must be pinned by sketch points.
We want a new point at the intersection of QA with LJ.
Select the intersection.
Define the first line.
Q-A.
Define the second line, L-J.
Click OK.
A point, U, is created at the intersection.
Repeat for R-B with L-J.
Add point bars in the frame corners.
Distribute everything. The distribution must also be defined by sketch points.
The sketch toolbar allows you to draw any sketch using:
- Translations
- Rotations
- Intersections
- Vectors
- Lines
- Planes
- Angles
- Distances
Factors (ex. 1/2, 1/4)
Explore this toolbar:
Save your solution.
Take a snapshot to show in the preview, when applying the solution.
Add conditions for elements. Example only for walls thinner than 30cm.
Define the solution interface: what reinforcement parameters should be decided when the solution is applied.
Parameter values can be assigned to multiple variables.
Choose Add parameter… cover, then:
- Select Cover A and type = Cover
- Select Cover B and type = Cover
- Select Cover C and type = Cover
- Select Cover D and type = Cover
It means all the covers are defined by the same parameter.
Click finish and save your solution in a file.
This file can be in a shared location on the network and used by your coleagues.
To modify the solution later; or to create derived solutions, save also the dwg file.
When the file is re-opened it will be still in sketch-mode, as indicated by the red/orange pilot.
Use close to exit sketch mode.
