In Advance BIM Designers Beam, a secondary beam can be assumed by defining a certain load as Suspended load.

A secondary beam can be assumed by defining a certain load as a suspended load

In the specific dialog, the user should select the method to suspend the load (Shear reinforcement or Links distribution) and to define the needed parameters which represent in fact the secondary beam section dimensions.

Defining the secondary beam influence

After launching the calculation the main beam is reinforced with extra shear reinforcement to carry the vertical point loads delivered from the secondary beam.

It is worth to be mentioned that the functionality is available also in Advance BIM Designers on Revit platform. The workflow is identical to the one followed in Standalone and the expected result can be seen below.

As simple as that!
