If there are multiple elements detailed which have the same label, we can set in Advance Steel a maximum distance at which the labels will be combined, resulting in one label with multiple leader lines to the elements. This setting is done from the label configuration in the drawing style, so that each label can have a different setting.
The option can be found in the label strategy section for each label:

How can labels be combined depending on the distance between objects

This value is in mm and is measured in real distance on the drawing file. It is not subject to the scale at which the view is made.
If the value is set to 30mm, for example, we see the following results:

How can labels be combined depending on the distance between objects

The two labels for the stiffeners are combined into one.

When the maximum distance is set to a smaller value, like 25mm in this case, the two labels will no longer respect this rule so they will not combine and each of the stiffeners will receive an individual label.
