I would like to create a block or "Special Part" for a part that we purchase, but use often on our fabrications.  I would like to be able to import the block and have the information of the part listed in the BOM when the drawings are created.  Please advise.  Thanks.

You can have the special parts on bom lists. The content which shows it is called : "Article" and for example, a bom list already configured with this is : Material List. You can have the name of the special part, its weight, paining, quantity or other user information that can be configured for the part and the displayed on the bom list.

Material list template has the "Article" content configured in manylanguage installations. You just need to have the special parts in themodel, numbered and with a material assigned to them, and they willappear in the BoM list.
If you need other lists configured to show the special parts, go to BoMeditor, select a template and use the button : "Report Contents". Inthis dialog, check the content : Article.
