Is there a way to create eye bolts, eye nuts, etc. for use in models? I am working on a project that requires an eye bolt to be used as a tie point in 21 locations and would much rather show the actual item than a block or other image.

For the moment there is a work around where you can download 3d objects off the net and import them as a special part in your model.
