Hello,

How can we handle pressed tubes in Advance steel?
The only way is the shrink property?
No connection will appear in the model or at the detail drawings.

Thank you.

Hello,

The only way to handle pressed tubed in Advance Steel is to set a shrink value to them from their properties dialogue. This will not change anything in the model (the element will keep its initial size), the only place where you will see this difference will be in BoM extracts. Joints will still be created on the initial, not deformed shape of the pressed tube.
More details of how the shrink options works can be found in the following FAQ : What is the shrink option used for?.

Regards,
Dumitru Berteanu
