Hello,
When on, AutoSave creates a backup of the drawing at specified time intervals, defined in minutes in the Time field. The default is 10 minutes; selecting a value of 0 minutes is the same as turning AutoSave off. The file is saved in the folder specified in Options > Paths/Files for Temporary Files, with the file extension specified in the AutoSave Drawing Extension box (by default, .SV$).
