- In Advance Steel, go to "BIM Center" ribbon > Exchange formats > OK => the *.kss file is automatically created

- In EJE Structural Material Manager, open a Job or press “Create New Folder” to create a new job, then press Open

Specify the units in the Select Dimension System dialog which opens, then press OK

Go to “Data exchange” menu and select “Import External Data”

In the dialog which opens, press “Browse Files” button and select the .kss file exported from Advance Steel

Press “Import” button at the bottom of the dialog

= > All the data coming from Advance Steel are now successfully imported in EJE Structural Material Manager!

PS / Special thanks to Julio!

The import is smooth for common steel material.

Timber for example, needs to be imported as a miscellaneous item.

Mapping can be modified in GTCMapping2013 file in: C:\ProgramData\Graitec\Data

So far this feature has saved me (or my colleagues) tens if not hundreds of hours.

It eliminates the human error during the manual input too.

Worked close with EJE to get the import done.
