Since Graitec is not capable to export shop drawings (detail drawings) into dwg format, is it possible to add an option to create them in dwf  format in Drawing Management>Add to batch plot ?. If not how we can create them by selecting all drawings without opening  sheet by sheet?.

Hello,

You can export show drawing file from Advance Steel into ".dwg" files which can be opened on computers that don't have Advance Steel installed. This feature is called : Explode drawings, and is avaliable from "Document Manager", which allows the user to add multiple drawings to "Batch explode", configure the explode settings (mainly refering to set up explode layer colours) and then explode them all at once.

I did that procedure and it explodes the drawing, but I still cannot open them with regular AutoCad, why is that happenning? How can I fix it?

The procedure is to go to the Document manager:

1.       Select the drawings you need to explode

2.       Select the button that says add to explode

3.       Click ok

4.       Your drawings are saved in a folder called “Details Exploded” not the folder called “Details”

If you are trying to open the drawings inside the “Details” folder with straight Autocad it will not work, if you have exploded your files look for the folder that is labeled “Details Exploded”.
