I have a model with horizontal beam betwen two walls.

When I try to put base plate with anchors on other side of the beam, it is only possible to put base plate on one side not to other or both? I have AS2011 and 2012.

In earlier versions this function worked ?

Best regards

Hello Bojan,

I recommand you to use the "Endplate" joint at both ends of the beam (Connection vault > Stiffeners > End plate).

Best regards

Thanks for your answer.

With End plate joint, there is no anchors, so I have to put them manualy .

This item also affect vertical beams.

Again, in earlier versions base plate joint works on both sides of beams ?

Best regards !

Hello Bojan,

The "Base plate" joint point of insertion is always at the lower point of the beam.

If the beam is perfectly horizontal, then the chosen point is...random, and the joint can't be added on both beam ends.

For your information, we have a feature request (in our "Wish list") to add an option in the "Base plate" joint that allows the user to select the beam end through a combobox, and remove any UCS dependencies or orientation.

Regards

Philippe
