Multi-user mode: how can a user add a beam into their checked out part of the project?

Hi,
When using the multi-user function, how can a user add a beam into their checked out part of the project and have it appear in the master model when checked back in?

Sorry, Ive figured this one out.

Select the newley created/copied beam, click on "add objects" in the multi-user toolbar and then "check in".
