I would like for all labels to list the part mark (boxed) before the material name/description. I was able to create new labeling strategies for that. But how do I get the changes implemented in all drawing styles?

I also would like to have a small diameter symbol (Alt+0248) shown before the name/size for all bolts, anchors and round materials. How would that be done?

Thanks.

Hello Dennis,

TO CHANGE THE SIZE OF THE DIAMETER SYMBOL

  1. Open your GAM navigate to Settings>Default.

  2. Select Use filter and expand the Drawing –General tab

  3. Change the value in the Minimum diameter for symbol presentation of bolts

  4. To change the size of the weld symbol select the Weld symbol size and input a new value

TO HAVE LABELS LIST THE PART MARK IN A BOX BEFORE THE MATERIAL NAME AND IMPLEMENT THEM INTO ALL DRAWING STYLES

  1. Open you’re Drawing Style Manager and select the Labeling Strategies tab. Select the type of section you want to create a new labeling strategy for.

  2. Right click and make a copy of the section and name it (for this example am using TEST as the name). In the  the token window scroll and change the name to Part mark

  3. In the  the token window scroll and change the name to Part mark highlightthe part mark number and select frame and select ok. Select ok  for the modification change

  4. On your Drawing Style Manager select the Drawing Styles tab and select the Object Presentation tab.

  5. On the labeling tab scroll to Beams

  6. The label New labeling strategy that you created is on the end of the list

Do I need to manually update every drawing style? Because there is quite a few of them.

About the diameter symbol, I don't qwant to change the size but rather add it to theh names. Eg: HSS ø1.66x.125 for round HSS. Or RD ø1/2" for round bar.

Hi,

this bothers me also.

I tried to select few labels (for diff model objects in "Object presentation", it allows me to select them, they are all marked, but when I change the label - just the one I selected is changed, not all the selected.

In Model broeser when you want to change some properties for multiple parts, when I select multiple parts and chenge the properties at one of selected, all of them receives the new values...

Cheers,

Nenad
