After building a model for a project it has been decided to fabricate in phases. Can I set the lot/phase for multiple items at once? I'm trying to avoid going into Advance Properties for each column and beam and manually assigning a phase number.

Thank you,

Jake

Hello,

Yes you can edit the common properties for multiple elements at once (for example multiple beams, or multiple beams + plates in the same selection). The lot/phase (and any other fields available in the Naming tab) is considered a common property, so you will be able to realize the required modification.
The selection can be done either from the model space (by doing a multi-select on the elements) or with the help of "Search filter", if you have certain criteria after which the lot/phase is applied (like for example a lot/phase mark for all the columns HEA300 in the model, you can use the Search filter to search all the objects that have the section size HEA300, the model-role "Column", select them, and then through a multi-edit modify their lot/phase mark at once).

Thank you Dumitru,

After selecting objects with a crossing window and clicking the ADVANCESTEEL PROPERTIES button I would get the message: "Selected objects have no common properties!". Once I removed welds and punch marks from my selection it worked great.
