By Graitec default all grab rails are round sections, dose anyone know how to add HSS rectangular or square to stair railing library? Tech support dose not return our calls.

As we discussed per our phone conversation, if you need to add a profile type to a connection, you need to go into the "AstorProfiles.mdb" database then to the table "ProfileMasterTable". Into it, you should see a column called "Subtype Name", look for the section you can see from your connection; for example: The “AISC HSS Pipe” the value is “O” The square and rectangular one, the value is “H”, this “H” should be replaced by “O”. Go back into Advance (don’t forget to reload your databases by the option call: “Update default”), open your connection you should now see the profile available.

Hello Greg,

I suggest that you use a better and cleaner way, than the one proposed by Olivier.

Please open the AstorRules.mdb, table "JointsGUIAllowedSections". There create a new line, maybe copy line 37, with the folloiwng parameter:

KeyJointNameJointControlAllowedSectionTypeAllowedSection
38RailingNewGrabRailSection shapeH

Best Regards

Heiko
