When using the "plate" commands to make plates, is there a way to have the model role default to "plate" instead of "none"?
Thanks,

Hi Joseph,

To have the model role default to Plate instead of None follow these steps:

1. After creating a plate (the plate dialog box should appear)

2. Select the Naming tab

3. Select the down arrow to the right of model role box

4. Change the Model Role from None to Plate

5. Right click on the upper blue heading on the dialog box and choose Model Role

Now make a test:

6. Select the Object Tab and select a Plate from the Plates menu

7. Create a plate: (Rectangular/2 point/3points or polygonal plate)

8. The plate dialog box should appear

9. Select the Naming tab

10. The Model Role is now set to Plate as a default now

Hope this helps,

Janet Black
