I could not find anything to answer this question. But I have AS2015 and the jobs I am currently working on are remodels and I am creating erection drawings and shop drawings until all field measurements are made and then revise the model to suit. The problem I am having or see, is that after the changes are made. The changes I have made either revert back to the original and added sections are incorporated. Is there a way to keep the drawings from changing the dimensions and text I have already inserted onto the drawings. Ex. I will modify and add dimensions to suit the shops needs and if I make a change to the model, those dimensons, well most of them have changed to different work points. So I am having to go back and redo all the items back to the original state.

Thanks,

Cruz

Hi Cruz

Open the GAM Graitec Advance Manager

Go to Settings>Defaults

Use filter and type Incorrect in the filter field

Select Drawing –Dimensioning and highlight General

Uncheck Erase incorrect manual dimensions on update

Select the icon to the top far right “Load settings in Advance”

Go back to your model and select Update Defaults from the Home tab

Type ds in the command line to bring up the Drafting Settings dialog box

Select the Objects Snaps tab and disable all your object snaps except the Node and Endpoints.

Clear all the objects Snapson the 3D Objects Snaps panel.

Selected Preferred for Manual Dimensions on the Steel osnap tab.

You can insert or remove dimension points to or from a chain of dimentions using the Insert point tool on the Labels & Dimensions tab on the Parametric Dimensions panel.

I have attached a PDF on how to  accomplish this.

I hope this helps

Best Regards,

Janet
