How is lot/phase numbering performed and what are the best methods to achieve desired lot/phase numbering? in advance steel 2015?

Hi Angie,

First of all, as you model, you can assign lot and phases to the AdvanceSteel objects. You can also do a mass selection of your model and assign a phase to it. This will help isolate that phase when numbering time comes. When you do number the model, select one phase at a time. Each phase can have a seperate start. For exemple, Phase 1 can have Process single part star at 1000 and assemblies start at 100, Phase 2 can have Process single part star at 2000 and assemblies start at 200etc... Effectively identifying different parts of your model to a specific phase will also allow lists and drawings to be generated for these particular phases more easily.

Regards,

thank you! However, whenever i try that mass selection you're speaking of, it tells me that the selected items have nothing in common. is there a specific method to the model selection for Phase drawings?

You have to make sure only advance steel objects are selected. "Construction lines" cannot be included in the selection.
