this is an old request from us: when will it be possible to trim a profile at a plate??
There is a nice function "cut at object" in the modeling toolbar, but it only accepts profiles.

Today I received a PM from Dumitru with a working function to do this, so I wanted to share that with all of you.

Unlike one would expect to use the function "cut at object", (whether it is a profile or a plate you want to cut to, it is an object), it works fine when you use the function "element contour - rule".
