We have a floating license of Advanced Steel. I there a way that a user can sign it out in order to use it at home. If so, how does that process work.

Yes you are allowed to do this.You have to release the license using the licence transfer utility. It is found at this location: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\AdLM\RYou have to use this program (licence transfer utility) every time you want to use the software on another PC. You also need to have the software installed on both computer.
