In FAQ under "How is ribbon profile customized in Advance Steel",  the answer reads "Users of AS can customize the Ribbon menu with the commands that they require. Start Advance Steel and type "CUI" in command line".

Problem: AS Stand-alone doesn't  support "CUI". How can I arrange my icons and save it as a file?. Example ".arg" in AutoCad.

Hello Raymond,

The CAD platform of Advance Steel 2012 (Standalone) currently does not offer an option to customize the Ribbon and the Palette. (For information, it can only be modified by the R&D team).

We plan to have this possibility for end-users in the future.

The new Advance Steel 2014 release provides different options to customize the tool palette according to your requirements.

A new button called "Settings" offers the possbility to change the tool palette opacity & color, the category and item height & width can be adjusted, the number of icons per columns can be set from 1 to 4, the icons can be reorganized with a drag & drop, and you can remove some icons by tapping the top-right red cross which appear with a long right-click on the palette.

Best regards

Philippe
