I would like to migrate my databases from AS 2014 to AS 2015.1. Is there documentation that explains how to do that safely?

Also, we would like to have our databases, libraries and prototype drawings in one location on the server. But we have a Linux server. Is it possible to put those items on the server anyway or would that cause problems?
