Hello,

e have noticed a situation on which we should not apply the function to define releases on planar elements => it's in the case when the planar element has some edges directly in contact with punctual or linear supports.

In such a case, you must avoid to define a hinge on the edge directly in contact with the support, to not "loose" some reactions over supports...

In the coming SP1 of Advance Design 2013, we will implement the temporary modification:

- When detecting a relaxation on a planar element edge directly in conctact with a support, Advance Design will just ignore it and consider the edge as "fixed".

- A warning message will inform the user about this behaviour.

We will inform you as soon as this SP1 will be available.

Then, in the version 2014, we will improve our "relaxation" algorithm to remove this limitation.

Regards
