By using the Eurocode 2 standard it is necessary, in some situations, to control cracking so that the requirements concerning the durability will be satisfied.

As an example, the reinforced concrete reservoir in Figure 1 is considered. The cracking control is realized under the frequent combination of actions. Therefore, at the generation of the load combinations, the "Frequent" situation for the serviceability limit state (SLS) is chosen – Figure 2.

After running the reinforced concrete (RC) calculation, the crack widths of the reservoir planar elements are shown from the "Analysis – Reinforced Concrete Results" toolbar (Figure 3 and Figure 4).
