The "explicit quantity" option is used to increase the number of elements displayed in the BOM, the BOM on drawing lists, or NC files, while in the model only one element or assembly is created. This option is available in every element's "Advance Properties" menu for all single part elements and is available for the main parts only after numbering.
In the example the beam has been defined as a main part and has an explicit quantity of 2 elements as a single part and 6 as a main part. The plate has been defined with an explicit quantity of 3 and the bolts with 4. The bolt assembly consists of 1 bolt, 1 nut and 2 washers.
