In order to make the selection of elements faster and easier, Advance Concrete has a selection tool, not only for structural elements, but for reinforcement bars too.
This option is very helpful if we are modeling a large structure with a lot of structural elements and we need to select only some of them. We can refine our selection by filtering through a large range of options.
In this example we can see that our structure has columns with various sections, different thickness walls of different materials, and different kind of beams.

We can access "Multicriteria Selection" from the "Pilot" fast access menu or from the "Advance Tools" toolbar.

First, we will select the C100 columns from the 3rd, 4th, and 9th levels to edit their properties.

After we select the desired elements, we can check if we made the correct selection, or count how many elements we selected using the AutoCAD "list" command.

Note: If we have a R50x100 column and another R 100 x 50 column (rotated by 90°) that look the same in a plan view, when we use "Multicriteria selection" tool to select the R 50 x 100 column, even if in the plan view they look identical, the program will choose only those matching our selection.

Assume that we have added symbols to some beams using the "Beam name" attribute and we want to change these symbols to see the beams' section dimensions. First, we have to access the "Multicriteria Selection" option, select "Symbols", and choose the "Beam name" attribute. After the selection is made we can edit the symbols.

If we are modeling a big structure that has walls of different materials (bricks, concrete), the "Multicriteria selection" tool lets us filter the selection by changing "Material", "Thickness", "Section", "Volume" or "Annotation".
We are able to filter reinforcement bars by editing fields like Diameter, Steel grade, Shape code, and many more.
