How is a standard 4-sloped roof modeled in Advance Concrete

A standard 4-sloped roof has a 45° sloped angle. To create a 4-sloped roof:

  • Draw a simple slab where the roof should be placed. This slab will be modified afterwards using the control surfaces.

  • Use a polyline to define the two main slopes, which are required for the creation of the control surfaces.

  • The red polyline orientation is correct, while the blue polyline must be rotated 90° to obtain a concave definition of the control surface.

  • Next, launch the How is a standard 4-sloped roof modeled in Advance Concrete "Create a roof..." command and select one of the two polylines.

The control surface defined by the blue polyline must be placed horizontally (covering the entire slab). The control surface defined by the red polyline
    must be placed vertically.
After placing both control surfaces, their combination should look like this:

  • Launch the How is a standard 4-sloped roof modeled in Advance Concrete "Combine roofs..." command to merge the two control surfaces.

  • Select the newly created roof surface and the slab (or any structural member reaching the roof height), and use the How is a standard 4-sloped roof modeled in Advance Concrete "Bind elements to the roof..." command to create the 4-sloped roof.
